Iwona Ziomkiewicz, PhD, is Drug Discovery Manager at Parkinson’s UK’s Virtual Biotech, the venture philanthropy initiative accelerating the development of new treatments for Parkinson’s disease. In her role, she focuses on sourcing opportunities, leading scientific and technical evaluations, and contributing to investment decisions that advance promising therapies. Her career spans academia, biotech, and pharma, giving her both scientific depth and a broad view of drug discovery and development. At Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech, she combines this background with investment rigour to support the most innovative programmes.
